Carp rigs are one of the most important, if not the most important, part of your fishing gear. Whether it be for the competitive carp angler taking part in a big competition or the social carp angler just enjoying a day or a weekend away with family and friends. They need to be made correctly and they have to be suited to the different situations that you are facing (such as grass, mud or other underwater structures), in order to make sure that you don’t lose any carp.
There are a number of rigs at your disposal such as the well known “Rietvlei Strop” and the “Vaaldam Strop”.
We will show you the different types of “stroppe” that are available, how to tie them, what material is needed to make them and how you can modify them to better adapt to the particular needs of the waters that you are fishing, if need be.
